Growing Up
I’ve officially accepted the job offer from Pintas IP which is the intellectual property company I mentioned. I’m gonna start work on 12 February after Chinese New Year. It’s so soon! The other day I was kinda bored but I didn’t want to watch shows lest I become an otaku (people with obsessive interests, particularly anime and manga). So I rolled around on my bed and before I knew it, I was asleep (2nd nap for the day). When I woke up I thought to myself, “Maybe I’m ready to start working after all.” Hahaha. I shall try to preserve this enthusiasm for work…it’s healthy! Of course, after that I resumed chasing my series to prevent myself from indulging in another nap. Hehe.
Since I got myself a job, I needed to get myself more work clothes too so I went shopping today at Pavilion with MY and Sam. It was fun la shopping with them but the shopping itself wasn’t fun! I tried super a lot of clothes but at the end of the day I only went home with 2 pieces. Trying on the clothes was quite a nightmare. Size M was too small for me and L was too large. As for the pants, if the thighs fit then the waist doesn’t and if the waist fits then the pants is too baggy for me. Argh!! I can only derive 2 conclusions from this experience. One, I have to lose weight and some of my waist. Two, I need to shop harder for more work clothes! Sigh…
I bought a skirt today cuz all the pants looked so hopeless on me and also because apparently I look thinner in a skirt as it covers my tummy. *grin* But buying it is just the first step. I’ll have to shave my legs and then gotta get a pair of suitable shoes to go with it…la-di-da. Oh, man… *slams head on table* I guess this is part of growing up. We didn’t have to do all this when we were still kids and happily sucking on our lollipops. And I’ve realised the reason why I’m feeling all the stress and tension. It’s because it doesn’t occur naturally to me. Some people are gradually attracted to make-up and skirts and frilly dresses as they grow up. Others are fine wearing jeans to work cuz they inherited their father’s kedai runcit or give home tuition. I belong to aanother category – I have to grow up but it doesn’t happen naturally so I gotta force it! Thus, the struggle. >_<

boo. you’re starting work the day after i reach home!
oh, u can get the pants altered, it shouldn’t be very expensive in kl if you know where to go. it’s very hard to get the perfect fit anyway. good luck in shopping!
Yeah, it’s impossible to get clothes that fit
Oh, and wear stockings if in a skirt. Don’t have to shave all the time, and it’s part of work etiquette anyway :p
=) You’ll be a great IP person thingie… *hugs* congrats.
start work dy still got time to layan u wan mar. we still have nights and weekends.
wear stockings also need to shave wor, according to MY n Sam. but i noticed my hair is kinda sparse…so maybe… O_o
“thingie”…haha. thanks. =) fyi my position is IP executive =P
Lalala… don’t shave your legs. I have never shaved mine, and never plan to. I keep telling people here that “Malaysian girls don’t shave their legs”–please preserve that illusion for me. Remember, once you start shaving, you can’t stop, because it just gets bushier and bushier. After a while, it’ll be like a jungle.
i never plan either ok. it just happens. i got too much hair to ignore la. and what you said is memang an illusion. i realised alot of my frens actually shave. =P btw, i got direct feedback from ppl who do it and they said it won’t get bushier.
That’s because they keep shaving it regularly. Try leaving it and see?
“it just gets bushier and bushier”… i think I dowan to think about that too much.. =P
